Nitro Roadwarriors Go Parkriding

After the massive snowfalls had settled and parks could have been build with big features the Roadwarriors headed out to different places all over Europe. Max Horn, Basti Rittig and Michael Macho went down to Kronplatz to hit the big kickers in the park. After that the crew travelled to Val Senales to meet up a lot of other riders for the Nitro Team Shoot, such as Sindre Iversen, Ana Rumiha, Nadja Purtschert, Diana Sadlowski, Steve Krijbolder, Stefano Munari and a lot more. Last stop was Kitzsteinhorn with Sindre Iversen, Steve Kreijbolder, Michael Macho and Basti Rittig.

Smith Optics’ We Travel – Episode 2

For their second We Travel episode Smith Optics sent their team far out into the backcountry. To shoot this episode their team riders went from Hasliberg, Suisse to Kaunertal and Arlberg in Austria all the way to the USA. The riders in order of appearance are Gian Simmen, Stefano Munari, Fabian Fassnacht, David Bertschinger Karg, Phips Gruber, Aaron Holtermann, Matthias Vogt and Mario Käppeli.

First Episode of Smith Optics’ “We Travel”

Smith Optics are boarding the webisode train with their new show “We Travel”, featuring all their Euro team riders.

We are very proud of our team and don’t want to hold off the results of their hard work. Therefore we created the project “We Travel”. The idea behind that project was to send our team riders out into different terrains and let them do what they do best: ride. At the end we got five episodes: park, powder, urban, USA and the Smith shoot.

The first episode is called “USA”. Our Team riders Fabian Fassnacht, Matthias Vogt, Stefano Munari, Aron Holtermann and Mario Käppeli travelled around the States; from Lake Tahoe to the Northstar Park, from Squaw Valley and Seven Springs to Mammoth and June. Some Rock’n’Roll attitude, deep powder and lots of fun, that’s the first episode of “We Travel”. Enjoy the video!

Like Les Deux Alpes, it’s one of the few glaciers that still maintains a solid series of camps through the summer months, with each week attracting different crews and pro teams for you to hang out and shralp with. Val Senales opens up its summer freestyle program for six weeks in June and July where you’ll find the Gentlemen Riders crew taking care of the Nitro Snowpark. These dudes know sure know what’s up and have created an huge playground on their 120,000 m2 bit of glacier, with Easy, Medium and Pro lines meaning there’s something for everyone. Also sick is that it takes less than an hour from your bed to the park. There’s heaps of team and camp weeks to choose from, with all-inclusive options, and if you’re under 18 you can get on the 2010 Rookie Camp from 3 to 10 July. There’s a good skatepark, all those summer aftershred activities and, come sundown, the Italians sure know how to make party.
