Fresh snowfall means the park is fully locked and loaded for this weekend’s MOREBOARDS Stubai Premiere 2012. Get yo asses there…

The recent snowfalls that dumped their load on central Europe’s higher peaks over the last few days has meant the Stubai glacier shaping crew have had plenty to work with and have been able to finish off a fully constructed park for this weekend’s season kick-off event, the MOREBOARDS Stubai Premiere.

60 centimetres of fresh snow have come down on Stubai Glacier early this week! Since Monday, the shape team has been working day and night on the construction of the snowpark. Just in time for the start of the big Park Opening Event this Friday, 19.10.2012, the setup will be ready for  shredding in full size. Not only the big kicker line, but also a huge number of rails, boxes and smaller jumps on the medium and pro line will be in best shape all weekend long as well as the stairset right by the brandsaloon.

Pros like Jed Anderson (USA), Gigi Ruef (AUT) Elias Elhardt (GER), Arthur Longo (FRA) and Kevin Backstrom (SWE) are already looking forward to three sick days at the MOREBOARDS Stubai Zoo and three crazy nights out at different parties in Neustift in the Stubai Valley. Will you be there, too?

The final countdown is on! The MOREBOARDS Stubai Premiere 2012 is just around the corner. With a versatile snowpark, several side events and an extensive party schedule, the opening event will fire the starting shot for the upcoming winter season on Stubai Glacier in Tirol, Austria.

Ready to go! The programme of the MOREBOARDS Stubai Premiere, which will go down on Stubai Glacier from October 19th to 21st 2012, is fixed and will be full of suprises:

Free Hardware Testing with 40 Brands & Staircase Setup at the Brandsaloon
Burton, Nitro, Rome, Slash, Artec, Lobster, Ride, Lib Tech, Arnette and many more – at the Brandsaloon close to the Eisgrat mountain station all the brand-new hardware of 2012/2013 can be rented and tested.

In the adjacent DC Jib Garden the stairset with a down rail and double kinked rail will be jibbed to a fare-thee-well. On Sunday, the DC Jib Garden Battle is going to bring up one thousand Euros of cash and tons of prizes from DC Shoes.

Snowpark & Side Events for every Taste
On the great setup of the MOREBOARDS Stubai Zoo, a great number of kickers, boxes and rails will be ready to rock in newly arranged lines. which will remain open for everyone during the entire opening event. The setup will be a delight for all riding levels from beginners to intermedates and up to pro riders like Elias Elhardt, Eric Beauchemin, Gigi Ruef and Jed Anderson.

Speaking Jed Anderson – the US pro will be on hand for the Salomon Warm-Up Runs and cruise around the park with all motivated riders, who are keen on some tipps or just having a great time.

All the other side events such as the der Volcom Stubai Snakepit, the Billabong Surprize Jam and the Skullcandy Tricks Sessions will also bring a lot of fun and you can either watch the action of the pros or rake in some cash and goodies for yourself.

Forum Warm-Up Party, Big Opening Party & Pirate Breakfast
The party weekend will be kicking off on Friday with the Forum Warm-Up Party and the Nasty Mondays DJ Team, the Drunken Masters and further acts in the village of Neustift in Stubai Valley. Among others, the Mando Diao DJ Team, the Wax Wreckaz and Get Addicted will be playing at the Big Opening Party on Saturday. The Scala Club wlll be the stage of the official After-After Party on Sunday morning. From 06.00 a.m. on, the Pirate Breakfast is going to bring up all you need after a long party night: Tradtional Bavarian Weisswurst & Weissbier and the Pirate Movie Production Unique8 Video Premiere.

From 24 March to 28 May 2012 it is again time for the Spring Sessions in the MOREBOARDS Stubai Zoo. On the Stubai Glacier, Austria’s biggest glacier ski area on Innsbruck’s doorstep the snowpark will flourish in spring with a big setup and numerous events.

The big and diverse setup of the MOREBOARDS Stubai Zoo at the Gaisskarferner with its daily shaped Pro-, Medium- and Easy-Lines is filled with numerous kickers and jib obstacles as well a super park base. This is the perfect place to enjoy the snowpark season from 24 March to 28 May 2012 on the Stubai Glacier at 3100 metres of altitude where snow is guaranteed. An exciting spring with many events is just around the corner!

The Spring Sessions will start on 24 March 2012 with the Park Opening with Forum Snowboards & Friends. At this kick-start of the spring season brand-new Forum snowboards of the season 2012/2013 can be tested the whole day for free to ride a session with the Austrian Teamriders Steve Grumser, Alex Beer, Max Glatzl or Raphael Tonitz. To mark this occation BBQ and cold drinks are waiting.

On 31 March 2012 the Stubai Jam, the last tour stop of the Wir Schanzen contest tour will take place in the MOREBOARDS Stubai Zoo. On a diverse slopestyle course freeskiers and snowboarders will fight for fame and glory at this event.

Moreover: You can already look forward to loads of girl power on the Lipstick Ladies Day on 21 April 2012. All ambitious snowboard ladies can register and together with the Lipstick girls they will paint the Stubai Zoo red. The tickets are limited. At the Quiksilver Jib Session on 5 May 2012 the focus is on style. Everybody can take part in the Jib Session on different obstacles to win vouchers for BBQ or drinks. It will worth it as the trick of the day will be rewarded with a week of surf holidays for two persons in the Quiksilver Surflodge in Portugal.

Another highlight of the Spring Sessions will be presented by the MOREBOARDS “Battle the Pros” on 12 May 2012. MOREBOARDS Teamriders like Elias Elhardt, Tom Klocker and Peter König will pop in for a relaxed shred day in the Stubai Zoo. Cash-for-Tricks is the motto in the “Battle the Pros” Session that is open for everybody. The session will be followed by the official Spring Sessions Party right in the Dorf Pub in Neustift. What a day!

Moreboards presented another edition of their Stubai Premiere last weekend, and this highlights edit shows what went down. In short: goodtimes.

Stubai’s Zoo park was the third glacier park in Austria to get an official opening weekend, following on from Hintertux and Kaunertal, and a good crew of riders and public showed up to enjoy the fun.

Counting down the days, the MOREBOARDS Stubai Zoo is getting ready for the third episode of the Wintergalactic Snowpark Opening on Stubai Glacier in Tyrol, Austria. October 21st – 23rd 2011, MOREBOARDS Stubai Zoo, Stubai Glacier, Tyrol, Austria

Winter has already arrived on Stubai Glacier, Austria’s greatest Glacier ski resort in close distance from Innsbruck in the heart of the Tyrolean Alps. Just in time for the MOREBOARDS Stubai Premiere 2011, the snowpark on 3.000 metres above sea level will be back in perfect shape.

The Zoo has grown! For the upcoming winter season, the snowpark area will be taking over both sides of the lift and now there is a park base in the heart of the Zoo for everybody. A brand new 9 metre DoubleKinked Tank and a 9 metre downrail are waiting for the first jibbers. The proline will show off again with 3 kickers of up to 17 metre table, while the medium line provides two kickers of 10 metre table and more fun jumps can be found on the easy/jibline, which will be on the other side of the lift this year.

Popular obstacles such as the pyra, lollipop, bonk ton, various butter boxes and different industrial pipe variations are already fixtures of the Zoo inventory. As every year, the park will be accessible for everyone all weekend long during the opening event.
Further, there will be set up a jib bank slalom parcours at the Zoo for the invitational snowboard contest Volcom Stubai Snakepit Season Kickoff on Saturday. Volcom forks out a prize purse of 4.086,44 USD and well-known riders like Gigi Rüf, Marc Swoboda and Daniel Rajcsanyi have already signed in.

Ride the zoo! Ride it green!

After last year’s successful European Summer Camps Tour, the SnowBroader Crew decided to hit the Spring Parks yet again with a nice tour around some of the best spots in the Alps! The plan was to start with Hintertux, then move to Kaunertal, later check Stubai Zoo, then visit Gentelmenrider’s park in Val Senales and for the end Mottolino Snowpark in Livigno.

For everybody who is already sick of singing birds, green grass and blooming meadows the MOREBOARDS Stubai Zoo is the place to be. Until the end of May you will have the chance to shorten the summer break for you and your snowboard during the Spring Sessions. “The last shred” is the motto on the Snowbroader Video Weekend on May 23th and 24th where you can put your tricks on video not only in warm sunshine, but also in bright spotlight.

As most of the ski fields have already closed, the season is running at its very high at the MOREBOARDS Stubai Zoo on the Stubai Glacier. On the sunny side of the mountain, the snowpark with bright sun, long days and soft snow is the perfect location for extensive jib- and kickersessions. Rails, boxes and the three kickers in line with different take-offs are shaped perfectly every day and provide a lot of variety and a no-boredom-guarantee.

There is a special goody for all filmstars and aspirants on May 23th and 24th. You can be the star of a snowboard video production. Snowbroader.eu will record your action with our three cams. Pack out your best tricks and become rider in this clip which will be published on all kinds of platforms.

For those of you who have always wanted to be on the screens just come to the MOREBOARDS Stubai Zoo on the mornings of May the 23th and 24th to join the film action. Snowbroader Video Weekend – be part of it!

Sunny mountain pastures, verdant woods, thunderous waterfalls pouring into clear mountain lakes changed Stubaital vally. But still between 1,750 and 3,210 meters above sea level, 16 cableways and lifts as well as 90 km of downhill runs await your pleasure. Nevertheless action in the Moreboards Stubai Zoo is still guaranteed – also the Snowpark with its kickerline and jib-obstacles is in top-shape.

With the Moreboards Stubai Zoo the Stubai Glacier has still a massive snowpark for all you shred heads. And it will be opened till end of May! The new glacierpark is one of the largest parks around Innsbruck. The location of the park ensures sunshine till the afternoon and is the perfect place for the three thrilling lines.

On Saturday there was a Barbecue Session going on. Everything was there. Good food, motivated riders, perfect set-up. And yes, we said everything. So that also includes snow, fog, wind and some sunshine we also got. But anyway many snow junkies had a lot of fun in the park. Despite that in some moments you could’t see your friend riding infront of you. Anyhow, the Stubai Zoo crew decided for easy session on down-curved and A-frame-box. Because the weather did not contribute for bigger motivation, cool prizes did all the work instead of. Headphones, hoodies and T-shirts were flying croos the air for best perfomance on before mentioned obstacles. After the session all were leaving the mountain with smile on the face. Some because of new stuff in their back pack, others because of good meal, but all had one reason in common – a Good Vibe…

I almost forgot. Stubai Zoo park. There are three lines that you can take. The kickerline with various take-offs, after kickers a A-frame and a Lollypop are on, followed with a Down rail and Jibtone. The second line offers Rollers where beginners can try out their first jumps. And the third line consists of Jib-obstacles with new Pyrabox. The lines are daily taken care of  by the Schneestern crew, so that everything is shaped into perfection. For more exactly description of the set-up click HERE.

Then it’s off to Kaunertal for the Spring Classics 2010! Since Saturday 17th April, the Spring Classics 2010 have officially begun and nothing more stands in the way to enjoy the massive park at the Kaunertal till mid of May. So we will be there also to deliver reports of all the action happening there!

It will then be time to hit the road for Stubai. There we have some crazy plans with the Stubaizoo…more on this later!

Finally we will cross the Alps and the Italian border to pay a visit to our Bros in Val Senales and then Livigno!

On March 13th the Stubai Jam is the official kick-off for the Spring Sessions. The Slopestyle Contest on the Stubai Glacier will again create furore and is the ideal start into the most beautiful time of the year: At the MOREBOARDS Stubai Zoo you can shred hell for leather until the end of May.

Finally it is spring again! Sun, firn and pleasant temperatures – what more could one desire? There is plenty of snow on the Stubai Glacier, but the power of the sun already shows its impact: You can learn new tricks on soft landings, get the shape of your goggle smoothly burnt into your face and your T-Shirt flaps in the warm wind. Springtime is just around the corner and so is the beginning of the snowpark season on the Stubai Glacier. Until the end of May the MOREBOARDS Stubai Zoo not only offers three kickers in line, but also countless jib obstacles. Everything is ready for a good session with your best friends and much action in the snowpark. The snow conditions on the Stubai Glacier are ideal until June – and it´s only 45 minutes from Innsbruck!

The Stubai Jam as the third stopp of the Quiksilver Wir Schanzen will take place on March 13th 2010. Despite the snowfalls of the past weeks spring fever settles amongst the riders. Fun at riding is definitely the focus of this contest and at the afterparty in the evening at the Blue Chip in Innsbruck the Swiss Clastsound will put the heat on everybody.

In cooperation with MOREBOARDS you can check out next season´s snowboards of Lib Tech, Gnu and Roxy on the March 21st on the Stubai Glacier. The material test is free of charge and a good possibility to get a first overview of the latest hardware trends.

From April 9th to 10th the Shred Sessions will stop over at the MOREBOARDS Stubai Zoo. Under the patronage of Nicola Thost all interested Snowboarders are invited to join this Coaching Camp. The participants will be divided into small groups to be able to learn new tricks and spend a great time with and under the guidance of skilled riders such as Quiksilver Pro Felix Georgii. You can get two nights accommodation, lift ticket, lunch package, coaching as well as a photo- and videosession for EUR 159.00.

There is no spring without an extensive Barbecue! Therefore steaks, sausages and other delicacies will wait on the Barbecue for you – two days through on April 24th and 25th. Cool sound at the parkbase and goodie-for-trick sessions will complete the relaxed days at the Zoo.

At the Snowbroader Video Weekend from May 08th to 09th a snowboard movie will be produced. All interested riders meet on Saturday morning to film their own “parts” in the movie together with the snowbroader.eu crew.
