As you’ll know if you checked our interview with Dylan in our print mag a couple months back (he also snagged the cover, and you can have him tell you all about that here), for the first season since his pro career began Thompson found himself looking at the possibility that he wouldn’t have a video part in a movie this year due to long-time homies FODT having to can their production. Undeterred, Dylan set about sending it on the streets with FODT’s Cole Taylor behind the lens, racked up hammer after hammer and with a little bit of help from Monster he was able to produce Clipped Up. It’s nothing short of next level. Watch it.

The first half of this edit is mainly the off-hill goodtimes, getting down with the campers and so, but stay tuned as halfway through the hammers kick in and the boys show what they’re all about.

Dylan Thompson, Luke Haddock, Nick Poohachoff, Lucas Magoon, Ben Bilodeau and the Technine crew mobbed camp for the hottest Session of the summer. Hammers were tossed, donuts were devoured and campers needed extra luggage for all the product they went home with.

3 minutes 20 seconds of premium park riding from the FODT/Technine boys. Yes, as well as crushing it downtown, they can also ride park pretty, pretty good.

The FODT crew have made names for themselves pushing the envelope in urban snowboarding, but as you’ll see in this FODT homies Dylan Thompson, Ben Bilodeau, Brady Larson and Sam Taxwood are also more than capable of getting it done in the park. Utah’s not seen much snow but the shaping crew in Park City have got a legit park together, which the boys hit up for a couple days to produce this edit. Have a look.

Last year’s movie from FODT was pretty killer and, to be honest, somewhat of an eye-opener. We’d always got the impression that these guys were just über-gangsta (with names like Finger On Da Trigger and Technine it’s easy to see why), but while the movie focussed heavily on the crew’s affliction for hitting up sketchy, graffiti covered spots there was also enough variety in the riding to make it appeal to those not of the street-banging frat. The filming and editing were both slick, the soundtrack killer (and not all hip-hop), and the urban riding itself was enough to make even the most die-hard bearded Alp-o-phile grunt in grudging admiration.

Now they’re back with the heavy, heavy teaser for Familia 2. It is long and full of bangers. If this is just the teaser, then we’re betting the full flick will be off the hook. We’ve been hooked.

MONDAY

To be honest, much of the motivation behind this post was to promote this clip by Riley Erickson featuring Dan “Danimals” Liedahl.

Fredrik Austbo and Scott Moline have fun in bad weather (and so do the Finns). Our English ed has fun creating an Air&Style megapost. Leysin hosted the Nescafé Champs (here’s a video recap). At Equilibrium is a documentary on the Bulgarian shred scene. This Sabre edit is fairly rad. The Legendary Baker Banked Slalom took place on the weekend, and ESPN does some hero worshipping. Absinthe re-release all of their teasers. Bob Plumb is hood. And neither us nor The Mustachio really know what this one’s about, but we all like it.
