Even though he claims being closer to dead than being young Quiksilver rider Todd Richards is a rad guy, and this clip somehow stoked us big time. By the way: This is the second “From the Office of…” episode - the Bryan Fox show being the first one.

Todd Richards has been a name in snowboarding for almost 22 years. He has won almost every major contest out there and he is one of few to have ever beaten Terje. Take a look back at some of his moments in snowboarding and see what snowboarding means to him in this episode of from the OFFICE of // TODD RICHARDS.

About time you get acquainted with some of the more interesting snowboard industry heads on Twitter!

Maybe Twitter never blew your hair back but these days even in the snowboard scene the nifty short message service has become kind of relevant. The other day we posted a list of 11 Snowboarders You Should Follow on Twitter. Of course there are some more out there, but unfortunately many of them update their Twitter account through Facebook. While technically these are still active Twitter accounts, chances of getting a response or a retweet from these guys are probably as good as seeing another tweet from Peetu Piiroinen.

However, now that you’re down with some of the top shred heads it is about time you get acquainted with some of the more interesting snowboard industry folks on Twitter:

Todd Richards

If we could only follow two people on Twitter, we would follow Todd Richards twice.

Trevor ‘Trouble’ Andrew

This man used to be a snowboarder, then he was a musician, and now he’s both.

Jon Weaver

He is like a European version of Todd Richards, but he knows more about football.

BurritosAndSnow & Agnarchy

We’re not sure these two guys have a life outside the internet, but as long as they’re that dedicated about snowboarding, we don’t really care.

Check out part 2 & 3 of the Todd Richards-laced Todcast: The Movie.

VBS.TV have a lot of good videos. And there’s even some good ones that go balls deep into snowboarding’s nitty gritty, as you’ll know if you’ve seen any of their Powder & Rails series.

Now they’ve taken ex-Morrow pro, O-Matic owner and TV chatterer Todd Richards’s funny-assed Todcasts and expanded them to fill a movie. Part 1 dropped yesterday, and so here’s Parts 2 & 3. Here’s what’s up…

After years of being a professional athlete Todd’s life as of late is filled more and more with gigs in the world of kooky TV presenting and amateur web casting. The thing is, these little podcasts, or so called “Todcasts” are taking over. Is Todd Richards, the once pro-snowboarder god, now a comedian/TV host/filmmaker? In Todcast The Movie VBS.TV takes a look at what exactly he’s doing with his little camera, as Todd embarks on a mission to New Zealand to road trip with the Quik team riders.

Todd Richards had his professional snowboarding hey-day a few years ago and has transitioned into a new career based on his telegenic personality. He travels the world commenting on sporting events like the X-Games and the Olympics. Though absurd, his observations are uncannily revealing and often self-deprecating as they call attention to the questionable mega-plex the extreme sport industry has become.

Quiksilver rider Todd Richards regularly takes to the airwaves as a TV personality and the web in his webcast, the Todcast. Today Richards takes the Todcast to the next level with his own movie. In the first installment from Todcast the Movie, VBS.TV takes a look at what exactly he’s up to behind the lens, as he hits the roads of New Zealand with the Quiksilver team.

Richards was in the pro snowboarding spotlight for decades, today his personality rather than his riding lands him at sporting events including the X-Games and Olympics. Though absurd, his observations of the surf, skate and snow world are uncannily revealing and often self-deprecating as they call attention to the comedy taking place behind the scenes.

Todcast the Movie will post in three installments starting today. Continue watching throughout the week, new installments post Tuesday and the movie wraps up on Wednesday.

Look what the TTR has done. They took some of their 09/10 footage, interviewed big names in snowboarding like Nicolas, Grilo and Mikkel – and bam! you get a great piece on style in snowboarding. And apparently there are more edits to follow all the remains of this year…

“Style in Snowboarding” is the first video segment from a collection cut out of the 2009/2010 Swatch TTR TV Show series. They will be released during November and December 2010.

Style is an integral, yet intangible, element of snowboarding. Simply put, style makes snowboarding what it is. It differentiates it from other sports, such as team sports, where style is not an often spoken word. It is the expression of ones individuality based on how you hold your grab, control your body and so on. The words of Jason Horton seem to fit perfectly: “Style is the art of making something that’s difficult and unnatural look easy.” It is an endlessly debated topic and it is also a vital part of the judging criterion on all of the Swatch TTR Tour events.

In this video segment you will hear thoughts on style from snowboarding legends (as well as rookies) like Nicolas Mueller (SUI), Heikki Sorsa (FIN), Todd Richards (USA), Marco Grilc (SLO), Mikkel Bang (NOR) and Stale Sandbech (NOR). Also snowboarders now working in the industry such as Jason Horton (GBR), Sean Lake (USA) and Tommy Klaehn (AUT) give their insights on the simple matters of style.
