This is the recap of the 686 Lights Out party that went down during Ispo on Monday, February 4th, at the Backstage club in Munich. 686 Lights Out is a charity boxing event with industry heads battling each other – all to support Fuck Cancer.

Host Drew Stevenson got the packed place going. Contenders like Victor De Le Rue, Conny Bleicher, and Vanessa Andrieux, to name but a few, came out fighting under supervision from real boxing coaches and referees. The three round bouts were preceded by a weigh in at the 686 booth at Ispo. Fights included snowboard pro vs. snowboard pro, ad sales guy vs ad buyer, girl vs girl, and sales rep vs sales rep. Apart from the much awaited girls fight (which Vanessa won after a surprisingly fierce exchange of blows) it was mostly the showdown between buff pro Victor De Le Rue and rather slack looking Bob Van Unnik. However, Bob stunned his opponent and the ever more excited crowd and scored a clear win on points against the French ripper.

After the fights were over and the 686 Lights Out belts awarded, a DJ crew provided by Skullcandy kept the adrenaline-filled vibe going. Talk among spectators and industry head was that this event should be here to stay. And over the course of the night more and more people wanted to sign up for next year’s event…

Victor’s been turning heads the last couple winters with his steezy kicker skills, and now that he’s started tuning in to the famous De Le Rue big mountain madness genes his older brother Xavier’s famous for he’s only going to be attracting more hype from here on in. This is a super well-rounded part with everything from park dubs, hairball tomahawks and huge pow stomps in the mix.

Harakiri Productions released its final opus earlier this year and it’s full of Gallic wit and banging riding. It was also the 5th most popular full movie of 2012 and if you check it you’ll understand why. Enjoy!

And it’s pretty darn nuts. You know Xavier will blow minds in situations with consequence, but young Victor really impressed with his hard charging. The other edits are also super strong, so we’d suggest you watch ‘em all and vote for the one that gets you most hyped.

You should certainly watch this if you want to a) see what went down at the Relentless Freeze in London last weekend, b) want to see what we’re guessing is every trick attempted, both landed or not, and c) want to hear an MC dude say ‘backside’ and ‘land it’ a lot.

The contest was run with the riders needing to put down a style jump, a tech jump and one more of their choosing and combining the scores of tech/style. Billy put down a slow back rodeo and a fast back 12 dub which was enough to crush the hopes of Max Parrot, Victor De Le Rue, Marko Grigis and Tor Lundström.

Ok, so it isn’t actually in any way competitive at all, but this Relentless Revolutions clip does have the contrasting styles of brothers Victor and Xavier De Le Rue on show. And what style these boys have –  Good genes in the De Le Rue, that’s for sure…
