We posted Team Divine – Eiki Helgason, Halldor Helgason, Gulli Gudmundsson, Viktor Hjartson and friends – first movie yesterday, and Why Not is their follow-up from 2005. With a year at the Swedish Snowboard School in Malung under their belts, the boys step their game up, but the movie is still fun as a bag of boobies. Watch it.

As we mentioned when we posted Noxious Dreaming yesterday, we owe a huge debt of thanks to Geiri from Nikita for being able to bring you these awesome videos from back in the day in Iceland. He found a bunch of them in his loft and was kind enough to fire over a few copies, for which we’re eternally grateful. Not only do you get a chance to see the likes of Eiki, Halldor and Gulli as they begin to make their name known in snowboarding, the films have that rough charm that’s missing from many recent releases.

“In Why Not, the Team Divine takes there riding to new levels, bla bla bla bla… No seriously by now Gulli, Viktor and Eiki had moved to Malung to do the snowboard school thing so you could say that Why Not gives you a great glimpse into the progression of these talented riders. I am 95% sure this is the first time you will actually see them riding anything resembling a park. Shot mainly in Iceland and Sweden, it’s filled with stupid bonus footage a la helgasons.com. After Why Not the boys moved on to film with Factor Films.”
