Do you remember our first Simon Gruber wallpaper from a while back? It was very popular with you dear readers, and hence we combed our archives for yet another banger shot of the South-Tyrolean rider (who we also ran a profile on in print issue #120). To cut a long story short – we found one: Taken by our senior photog Matt Georges this shot shows Simon Gruber pulling a Method in Val Senales. Gerome ‘Coin Coin’ Mathieu is one of our favourite French riders, and this shot taken by our senior photog Matt Georges in La Mongie in the French Pyrenees gives you a good idea why. This backside 5 shows his style and amplitude – two things that always go down well with us. He is a very technical rider, too, but that doesn’t show in still shots, so go out and watch his part in the current Pirates movie Hooked!
