Elena Hight Becomes First Woman to Land Pipe Double
We’ve just returned from our epic week at Kitzsteinhorn for the inaugural Onboard Send Off Session and so we’re a little late with this, but props to Elena Hight for pushing the limits of women’s pipe riding.
We’re not gonna lie: the video is a little shaky. Nevertheless Elena Hight’s become the first girl in snowboarding to land a pipe dub on camera – and a double backside alley-oop one at that. Pre-olympics, it looked like Torah Bright would be the first woman to crack the pipe double code as she was filmed getting close to a double crippler, but Elena has been killing it of late and so it’s perhaps unsurprising that she’s the first girl to put one down.
